Nero basically is a tool for burning or copy data to CD / DVD. I visited their site and see their documentation about their latest product, it seems that Nero 9 is not just a burning tool. However, It is not a free software, but wait...they also offer you with the lite version. Nero 9 Lite is totally free to download and use.
The latest version for the free edition is Nero 9.4.12.708 Lite, the software offers you with all basic functionalities of data burning and copying to CD / DVD. The download size is only 32MB, smaller than the premium one. I think if you just want a data burner tool, it’s better to choose Nero 9 Lite edition.
